    Aluminum Derivatives List Expanded to Include Beer and Empty Aluminum Cans

    The Department of Commerce Bureau of Industry and Security posted its public inspection copy of its notice scheduled for publication on April 4, 2025 in the Federal Register. 

    Beer and empty aluminum cans are added to the Section 232 aluminum derivatives list effective April 4, 2025. These products will become subject to the existing aluminum derivative articles requirements, including reporting primary and secondary countries of smelt and the country of cast, along with payment of 25% Section 232 duties as applicable.
