DB Schenker U.S. Land Transport Named A 2024 SmartWay High Performer
DB Schenker U.S. Land Transport has been recognized as a 2024 SmartWay® High Performer by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in the Truck Carriers, Carbon Metrics category. This designation acknowledges companies that achieve top-ranked performance in efficiency metrics, specifically in terms of CO2 emissions measured in grams per mile and grams per ton-mile.
This prestigious recognition highlights DB Schenker’s commitment to sustainability and efficiency in goods movement.
According to SmartWay, fewer than 10 percent of all SmartWay carriers operate fleets that are efficient enough to earn placement for reduced carbon emissions. As carbon is a leading indicator of fuel use, SmartWay High Performers consume less fuel for every mile traveled and every ton of freight moved. This level of productivity can save trucking companies thousands of dollars in fuel costs per truck each year, along with significant carbon reductions that make a big difference.
The SmartWay website (www.epa.gov/smartway/smartway-high-performer-lists) has a complete list of all 2024 SmartWay High Performers and the criteria for making the list.
