A bill of lading is a document issued by a carrier to a shipper, acknowledging that specified goods have been received on board as cargo for conveyance to a named place for delivery to the consignee who is usually identified.
A business number is a 15 character identifier of your business.
The Canadian Business Number has two parts; a nine digit number that identifies your business, and a 6 character portion composed of letters and numbers that identifies the particular tax account. The nine digit number part of the Business Number never changes; the second part of the Business Number will change depending on which tax account the number refers to.
Documents required for customs clearance.
Some of the general documents required for basic customs clearance into Canada include the Canadian Customs Invoice, and the NAFTA Certificate of Origin (see side menu for copy of Certificate of Origin).
Document for International Trade.
A Certificate of Origin is a document used in international trade. It traditionally states from what country the shipped goods originate, but "originate" in a CO does not mean the country the goods are shipped from, but the country where the goods are actually made.

A Shippers Export Declaration is used for two purposes. First, it serves as a census record of U.S. exports. Many reports are generated by the government using these statistics. Second, because the commodity's export license designation appears on the form, the SED serves as a regulatory document.

Originating country document.
In some countries, the process for obtaining a certificate of order can be lengthy requiring weeks if not months of administrative delays. To streamline international trade transactions, Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) will accept an exporter’s statement of origin. The exporter’s statement of origin must be signed by the exporter in the originating country.
