This position develops the operational excellence within the operations, through continuous improvement training. Main activities include operational excellence project management, 5S/POP/CIP management
Operational Excellence and 5S/POP Management
• Lead implementations of the new CL/SCM production system XSITE into operations
• Manage timelines, resources, and targets of XSITE implementation projects
• Train site leadership and shop-floor teams on the general idea of the production system, lean basics, and advanced tools, KPIs and performance management
• Coach operations in KATA
• Moderate and conduct improvement workshops (including 5S, Value Stream Mapping, POP /CIP, Kaizen)
• Further develop and enhance training material, improvement concepts and implementation methodologies
• Coordinate Operational Excellence status reporting to the regional and head offices
• Persuade reluctant staff to change their way of working to 5S/POP/CIP/VSM/XSITE
• Facilitate sharing of best practices
KPI Management/Balanced Scorecard
• Monitor Balanced Scorecard performance by analyzing reported data
• Collate and analyze performance data and charts against target
• Check deviations with operations and report to regional head office
Requirements
- Excellent practical and trainer knowledge of lean tools, kaizen, and lean management
- Ideally be able to conduct VSM and Kaizen workshop and provide training programs
- Excellent problem-solving skills and critical thinking
- Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, persuasion, and leadership skills with the
- Detail and result oriented as well as process oriented
- MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word Knowledge
- Very good English skills, oral and written
- Able to set own agenda and work independently
- Efficient and effective work style
- Frequent travel to warehouses in Gyeonggi-do province on a regular basis
Experience and Qualifications
- Academic degree (B.A./B.Sc., M.A or MBA) in logistics, supply chain preferred
- 1-2+ years of work experience in contract logistics or manufacturing
- Ideally expertise in project management, lean management, Japanese management theory/Toyota Production System (e.g. 5S, POP, Kata, Kaizen)
