  • Manages and executes projects based on experience, ranging from small projects or sub-projects to large projects with significant business, political, or strategic impact, multiple dependencies, and major budgets including significant capital expenditures
  • Ensures definition and set up of all project internal processes, procedures, and relevant project standards (e.g., controlling, safeguarding quality of deliverables, documentation) in compliance with applicable policies, guidelines, and rules (e.g., PM@Schenker) and delivery approaches (e.g., waterfall, agile).
  • Creates time, resource and cost plan further relevant project management plans (e.g., communication) and, if applicable, manage project changes
  • Identifys, assesses, and manages risks to ensure the success of the project
  • Controls the project regarding time, quality/scope, budget (incl. resources) and identifying (actual and potential) deviations from the project’s baseline, (if necessary) execute counter measures and/or update project management plans (e.g., in case of approved change requests)
  • Achieves the defined project output within agreed parameters of cost, budget, time, and scope/quality, and oversee the creation of respective deliverables
  • Regularly inform project stakeholders about project status, escalate issues when necessary, and call for steering.
  • Provides effective leadership to the project team and take appropriate action if team performance deviates from agreed tolerances
  • Ensures that projects are formally closed, including the hand-over of project deliverables to the line organization, execution of project reviews, creation of lessons-learned reports, archiving relevant project information, and requesting approval of project closure

Details/Specification/Explanation of the role specific skills •Study to university degree level •Profound IT project management experience or equivalent performance, preferable in an IT Infrastructure environment •Proficiency in project management methodologies •Project management certification (e.g. PMP or Prince 2) •Fluency in written and spoken English •Willingness to travel (internationally) •The ability to work collaboratively across diverse groups of business and technical stakeholder •Strong leadership skills, intercultural competence, global mindset, strong communication skills, solution orientation, willingness to learn and flexibility. The individual in this position must be capable of performing all of the essential functions with or without a reasonable accommodation Must be able to pass any federal/state/local government, airport, or company-required background checks, clearances, and/or drug and alcohol tests.
