Are you passionate about logistics and customer service? Join our dynamic team as an Exports Freight Operations Clerk in our Bradford branch. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in ensuring our land freight operations meet and exceed customer expectations, while maintaining operational efficiency and compliance with our established service levels.


Location: Bradford, UK
Working Hours Options:

  • Part-time: Monday to Friday, 5:00pm to 9:00pm - evenings
  • Full-Time: Monday to Friday,
  • Week 1 - 9:00am to 17:30pm – full days
  • Week 2 – 13:00pm to 20:30pm


What Will You Be Doing?


As a OCL Specialist, you will:


  • Understand customer requirements and ensure the delivery of first-class customer service.
  • Plan, arrange, monitor, and control all elements of land transport export shipments, while completing all associated documentation (operational, administrative, and legal).
  • Operate Schenker IT Systems, MS Office, and other associated tools effectively.
  • Understand and adhere to the company’s Quality Policy and Objectives, maintaining KPIs throughout your work.
  • Respond promptly to general inquiries and queries, escalating as necessary for resolution.

About you:

  • Proven experience in customer service, ideally within logistics or road transport.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and fluent English.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage high workloads and tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
  • Commercially aware, with the ability to identify and act on business opportunities.
  • Experience handling imports and export bookings is highly desirable.
