Insetting / Book and Claim
DB Schenker's main concern is to act in an environmentally friendly manner, which we underpin with many concrete measures in our business areas. To achieve this goal, we have launched a number of initiatives (e.g. : Use of electric and hydrogen trucks in transportation, use of sustainable biofuels) and are continuously expanding our portfolio of low emission products.
With the optional service Insetting / Book and Claim, it is possible to reduce Scope-3 emissions within your own value chain by using the 'Book and Claim' method. This method allows the separation of physical customer transport from transports with reduced emissions.
The optional service Insetting / Book and Claim can be added to all System Freight or Direct Freight shipments and can be combined with all other available additional services from DB Schenker.
The baseline is the CO2e emissions report per customer in DB SCHENKER connect. The use of sustainable fuels (HVO, Bio-LNG, low-emission electricity) and drive technologies (Battery Electric Vehicle BEV, H2) in the DB Schenker network is guaranteed.
The independently certified CO2e savings declaration solution can be purchased annually to reduce the own CO2e footprint. As a result, customers and their transports benefit from the CO2e savings generated throughout the entire DB Schenker network.
