The Process Engineer is responsible for driving continuous improvement and re-engineering of ASML business operations to deliver sustainable financial and operational advantages. This role takes ownership of logistics re-engineering projects and supports operations by leading process mapping, layout design reviews, resource validations, and IT-related process improvements. The position requires proactive collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of projects and initiatives within agreed timelines
- Lead digitalization and automation initiatives for warehouse operating systems (e.g., WMS, macro tools).
- Identify operational improvement opportunities and develop solutions with measurable outcomes.
- Take ownership of re-engineering projects for Schenker’s existing operations.
- Design new processes, execute pilot tests, and evaluate impacts on warehouse design, technology, and customer service.
- Analyze contractual commitments, specifications, and performance data using industrial engineering and logistics expertise.
- Document and optimize workflows, material/system flows, and supply chain processes; propose tactical recommendations.
- Conduct warehouse re-design, process analysis, and Time Studies.
- Perform financial impact and cost-benefit analyses, including savings projections and intangible benefits.
- Apply analytical tools (Excel, Visio, AutoCAD) to improve warehouse layouts and logistics operations.
- Engage with stakeholders to define requirements, communicate methodologies, and prepare reports and recommendations.
- Apply industrial engineering methods, work measurement, and process improvement frameworks.
- Deliver project results and present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Ensure customer-specific requirements are clearly communicated and implemented across the team.
Required
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio); AutoCAD experience desirable.
- Strong English communication skills (written, verbal, presentation) for interaction with international customers and colleagues.
- Experience with IT applications, preferably forwarding systems and WMS.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to prioritize tasks under pressure.
- Strong presentation and reporting skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze and validate logistics data and business processes.
- Exposure to key logistics areas: storage mediums, material handling equipment, manpower/space analysis, SKU management, KPIs, CI initiatives, transportation, packaging, and costing.
- Experience with process flow diagrams, Time Studies, and performance analysis methodologies.
- Highly motivated, energetic, and resilient, with ownership mindset
Experience and Qualifications
- Academic degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in logistics operations, process improvement, or re-engineering projects.
- Proven ability to take responsibility for project deliverables and outcomes.
- Service-minded, with awareness of representing ASML at customer sites.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure and within tight deadlines
