Montaigu, 15 january 2021 DB Schenker sets up a chatbot called Betty on its website to better tacke care of its customers.

Named Betty, the chatbot is a robot using artificial intelligence technology. Friendly, understanding and professional, Betty accompanies the search for information. She interprets a written message and formulates a response accordingly. She provides an answer to a written or oral question.

Currently, set up on DB Schenker website, Betty answers the most frequently asked questions in real time, such as: Where is my package? When will I be delivered? Is my proof of delivery available?

She is available 24/7 on computer, tablet and smartphone.

Beyond the answers provided by Betty, DB Schenker employees take over for more complex requests. “This virtual assistant will not replace customer service. The proximity of our teams and our commitment to our customers is our strength and DNA” says Laurent David, Director of Marketing and Communications. Betty comes to guide the client during simple searches where the intervention of a collaborator has no surplus value. This technological tool is at the service of teams and customers to improve their daily lives.

Betty has been deployed to meet the needs of her clients: «We need to provide a solution to our clients who are increasingly demanding in terms of response time but also increasingly connected» explains Eric Lechner, Project Management Office.

This solution is scalable. Over time, Betty will understand more and more queries, expressions and adapt!
