DB Schenker opens new terminal in Pau, France

New hub in Pau offers 1892 square meters platform with 23 gates • Logistic provider invests a total of 200 million euros by 2022 in France

Montaigu/Frankfurt, December, 2020 - DB Schenker, one of the world's leading global logistics providers, will open the new terminal in Pau in France. The new center with a 1892 square meters platform is one of six branches that DB Schenker opens in 2020 in France. The logistic provider has defined a real estate investment plan of 200 million euros over 5 years, from 2018 to 2022, in France and in the French overseas departments. This investment reflects the strong commitment of DB Schenker to continue the expansion in France and the European network.

David NUÑEZ, Director of the new terminal in Pau says: «The new building is more suited to our business with a double platform area from 850 m² to 1643m². It also makes it possible to consider commercial developments with the possibility of an extension of 700 m²».

DB Schenker integrates the environmental aspect into its real estate investments in order to reduce its ecological footprint. The Pau terminal with its 23 gates and an office space of 249 square was designed to reduce energy consumption with LED lighting and a full south exposure to promote light and natural heating. A wooded area of 1000 square has also been conserved on the area to promote biodiversity.
