    Are you ready to level-up your career in logistics with a globally recognised leader in the industry? We are on the hunt for an experienced Warehouse and Transport Manager to join our close-knit Airfreight team based in Alexandria.

    What you will be responsible for?

    • Lead the warehouse operations team in the day-to-day operations of the facility ensuring that customer service levels are met on a consistent basis
    • Manage the facility to ensure that the site, and all equipment, is fully maintained
    • Manage and motivate a team of hardworking warehouse staff to achieve high levels of productivity
    • Ensure that import and export cargo is delivered within key timeframes
    • Manage the facility to ensure that the site, and all equipment, is fully maintained and workable, with a contingency plan in place for any breakdowns
    • Oversee the training of team members on all aspects of client requirements and standard operating procedures
    • Report on the profitability of the warehouse taking into account warehouse space utilised, volumes and labour requirements
    • Ensure the highest levels of health and safety are maintained at all times

    What Are We Looking For?

    • 4+ years experience in a warehouse management role, ideally in a Freight Forwarding or 3PL environment
    • Previous experience in managing a medium-sized warehouse team, including rostering and leave management
    • Strong business acumen and understanding of client management and profitability; with experience managing productivity and presenting out on results
    • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, and the proven ability to build relationships with key stakeholders
    • Working knowledge of relevant legislation, including previous experience managing in a unionised environment
    • An analytical mindset and experience in root cause analysis in order to make continuous improvements to the operation
    • A safety-focused mindset, always making sure that work, health and safety is the top priority

    Requirements
