Position Description Summary:
By coordinating, diagnosing, and troubleshooting incoming employee calls, provides support services to employees with technical problems and information technology issues involving desktop, laptop, or network services from local personnel or from employees using network remote access. Responsible for timely resolution of problems or escalation on behalf of customer to appropriate technical personnel. Provide case status updates to management and end-users. Support and maintain effective relationships with users. Develop, document, and implement standard operating procedures and customer service guidelines relating to remote IT support.
Principal Accountabilities (The following is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. It is not an exhaustive list of all expectations.):
• Provide solutions to novel and complicated problems impacting systems, hardware, and networks
• Responsible for timely resolution of problems or escalation on behalf of customer to appropriate technical personnel
• Partner with management to identify areas to systematize and streamline consistent with business needs and practices
• Provide case status updates to management and end-users
• Assume on-call support activities
• Perform on-site telecommunications support and training activities
• Spearhead technical portion of business teams formed to address internal and external issues
• Provide strategic support to project teams

Knowledge and Skills (The following minimum requirements are normal guidelines and should not constrain the advancement of otherwise qualified personnel):
This is an entry-level position. Solid interpersonal and analytical skills required. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent strongly preferred. Generally prefer 0-2 years of related experience.
