Schenker & Co AG is certified in Austria and Southeastern Europe in accordance with the EN ISO 9001 standard for quality management, and the EN ISO 14001 standard for environmental management.
EN ISO 9001 certifies compliance with quality management requirements. Among other things, a company that receives such certification maintains a consistent customer focus, complies with all government regulations, and operates a continual improvement process for its management system.
EN ISO 14001 certification confirms the existence of a continual process for improving a company’s environmental performance.
The effectiveness of our integrated quality management system and its tools has been confirmed by the Bureau Veritas Certification agency. The DB Schenker Group Certificate issued by the agency covers our entire European-wide product portfolio.
Certification is valid for three years, during which time the external issuing agency (Bureau Veritas Certification) must regularly confirm consistent compliance with all quality processes and guidelines. To this end, a series of independent audits is carried out directly at our offices and facilities. Our quality management system thus exceeds the requirements of the ISO 9001 standard, a guideline for auditing management systems.
The TÜV Austria Cert inspection agency has certified that DB Schenker’s management system complies with the rules contained in the HACCP standard (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point).
HACCP also includes hygienic regulations for employees who come into contact with food or food-related freight.
