Areas of Responsibilities
Shipment deliveries:
- Responsible to transport shipments safely as per directives from the operations staff.
- Receiving shipments correctly from the warehouse / loading party by checking related documents.
- Ensure correct and safe loading methods are followed while loading the shipments in the truck and to secure the cargo inside the truck as required. Making sure the packages are not having any visible damages and are in proper conditions.
- Obtaining required pass and documents for warehouse and Free Zone exit and to complete the necessary exit procedures.
- Timely delivery to the destination points and taking POD acknowledgement from the Customer or the person assigned at the delivery point.
- To perform necessary Communications between the operations and the delivery point contacts for a smooth and timely handover.
- Responsible for the safely of the cargo while transporting.
- Responsible to collect the acknowledgement and any payment (COD - in cash or with Credit Card Machines) from the Customer and submit back to the operation.
- Responsible to carry out documentation works related to Customs / Chamber / Consulates etc. as directed by the operations team.
- Maintain a 100% damage-free record. Report all accident or incidents involving vehicles to the Supervisors / Management.
- Maintain all required records and reports in accordance with company requirements.
General:
- Knowledgeable of all routes within U.A.E (GCC cross-border experience and added advantage).
- Aware of border clearance / exit procedures for cross-border shipments.
- Always to maintain a good appearance to keep up the image of the company.
- Responsible to adhere to all rules and regulations set by the authorities and to practice safe driving habits.
- Responsible to notify superiors of any incidents immediately after occurring the same.
- Responsible to keep all relevant vehicle records in the vehicle to present whenever required.
- Ability to utilize maps, GPS systems, and Basic Data Entry requirements.
Vehicle Service and Maintenance:
- Responsible to maintain the vehicle in a neat and clean manner always.
- Responsible to keep the entry passes / certificates in the vehicle which are issued to access certain restricted areas by Authorities.
- Monitor the Service schedules and coordinate with the Transport in-charge to get Service appointments.
- Responsible to notify the supervisors regarding any issues or dangers the vehicles pose to find solutions as quickly as possible.
- Responsible to keep the daily trip records and filing of the same as directed.
Requisiti
- Valid manual U.A.E license (preferably Heady duty)
- 2 years of minimum experience(Cross-border GCC driving experience will be an added advantage)
- Education: High School, Diploma or equivalent education is required
- Languages: Communication skills in English, Hindi, Arabic
