DB Schenker partners with Livium to offer battery storage and recycling
DB Schenker has signed an agreement with Livium, a leader within the Australian battery recycling industry, to provide storage services for new and used batteries along with recycling services • The Agreement commenced April 2025 and allows the provision of services in Australia
DB Schenker is pleased to announce that it has signed a battery storage and recycling agreement with Envirostream, a leader within the Australian battery recycling industry and wholly owned subsidiary of Livium Ltd.
The Agreement allows DB Schenker to provide new Li-ion batteries to Envirostream who will safely store them until a return is requested. In addition, the Agreement allows DB Schenker to provide used Li-ion batteries to Envirostream who will store and process the batteries. The Agreement provides exclusivity on the processing of used batteries.
Allowing the provision of services in Australia, the Agreement commenced in April 2025. To begin, this service will be available in Melbourne only. No additional infrastructure is required to provide these services however expansion will enable increased volumes and range of service to be offered.
