- Ensures operational continuity by determining work priorities, scheduling repairs, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment for shift.
- Identify, design and implements preventive maintenance programs in conjunction with the Maintenance Manager by reviewing maintenance reports, inspection of machines, equipment, and systems to support continuity of operations.
- Ensure adequate tool and spare parts supply with cost justification for conveyor, material handling equipment and other warehouse machinery.
- Coordinate facility project work (managing and scheduling).
- Identifies current and future maintenance requirements by establishing rapport with management, supervisors and contractors to understand maintenance requirements at the warehouse.
- Communicate with shift team, Maintenance Manager and broader management team to ensure awareness of maintenance, repair work or the status of other warehouse concerns.
- Create and maintain a safe, clean, and efficient working environment through collaboration with the Health and Safety Team and in compliance with WCB regulations.
- Participate in and monitor monthly safety inspections. Ensure timely action on safety concerns. Maintain regular checks of maintenance logs, accident logs, fire extinguisher security system, emergency equipment, etc.
- Ensure the exterior of the facility, parking area and yard is maintained, clean and uncluttered.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager the successful candidate will be responsible to maintain a safe, effective and functional facility by directing a unionized staff and external contractors to complete preventive maintenance and repair of machines, material handling equipment, conveyor systems, utility systems and general upkeep of the warehouse.
