We handle about 24 million shipments each year. Nonetheless, damage and losses may occur through unfortunate circumstances. If the accident occurs, we recommend that you sign cargo insurance so that you can quickly receive full compensation.
Sign up for a cargo insurance for land, sea and ocean freight
It’s easy. For land transport, you can either sign up for a subscription to insure all your shipments at a discounted price, or you add the insurance when making a booking. For sea and air freight, you simply add the cargo insurance each time you make a booking.
What does it cost?
You can calculate the insurance value by adding the product value + the total freight costs + 10 percent commercial profit. This amount is the basis for the premium. For land transports within Sweden, the premium is 290 SEK for a maximum value up to SEK 400,000.
Liability is limited through laws
Depending on which transport means is used, liability for damage and losses is limited through laws and liability provisions, for example NSAB 2015.In the event of ship accidents, the clause for general average applies (all product owners share the costs of damages). Exceptions for liability for general average include fire and earthquakes.
