Why should you sign an FPPI?

FPPI (Foreign Principal Party in Interest) is a power of attorney for us at DB Schenker which is only signed for deliveries from USA.

Simply put, we get the recipient's permission to handle the goods. When the FPPI is signed we get clearance to send the goods. The recipient is not responsible for contents or packing.

If an FPPI is missing, the delivery is handled as “non-routed”.

The freight
Must then be paid by the sender who can choose to schedule the transport with another forwarder.
