The Project/Program Manager at our department Global Infrastructure Services (GIS) is responsible for the management of GIS projects or programs. Tasks & Responsibilities: •Takes full responsibility for the definition, documentation and successful completion of complex projects/programs (typically with significant business, political, or high-profile impact, and high-risk dependencies) •Takes full responsibility for the project/program including its budget •Plans and monitors the progress of the project against the base-lined project plans •Manage the overall configuration of the project in alignment with project governance framework – to ensure that project controls (budgets and resources), change control, risk management and testing processes etc. are maintained •Monitors and controls project resources, revenue and capital costs against the project budget and manages expectations of all project stakeholders •Ensures that project deliverables are completed within agreed cost, timescale and resource budgets, and are signed off •Provides effective leadership to the project team, and takes appropriate action where team performance deviates from agreed tolerances •Provides expertise and guidance for project delivery and motivate teams to meet their objectives
Details/Specification/Explanation of the role specific skills •Study to university degree level •Profound IT project management experience or equivalent performance, preferable in an IT Infrastructure environment •Proficiency in project management methodologies •Project management certification (e.g. PMP or Prince 2) •Fluency in written and spoken English •Willingness to travel (internationally) •The ability to work collaboratively across diverse groups of business and technical stakeholder •Strong leadership skills, intercultural competence, global mindset, strong communication skills, solution orientation, willingness to learn and flexibility.
