As one part of the local Corporate Volunteering crossborder activities in Schenker Singapore, we work together with a local NGO to provide the poor villagers in Cambodia with safe housing, clean water and sanitation.
Thousands of poor villagers live in ramshackle houses with leaking roofs and broken walls. Meanwhile many villagers do not have an access to working well or toilets. The lack of access to clean water and proper sanitation leads to poor health and harsh living environment.
With this Community Building Program, we hope to ensure that the poorest of the poor receive the help and to light up the hope in the village.
In three different remote villages, 2 houses, 1 well and 1 toilet were built by 42 Schenker Cares Volunteers with the help of our local partner NGO.
