Responsibilities:
- Perform and oversee day-to-day accounting and/or legal entity (statistical) reporting activities to ensure all entries are recorded.
- Perform and oversee asset accounting and period control procedures.
- Perform and oversee verification and reconciliation of assigned balance sheet accounts (incl. compliance controls).
- Performing variance analyses and preparing account reconciliations.
- Actively participate in internal and external audit procedures, resolve all audit requests within the agreed timeline.
- Assisting with financial and tax audits.
- Documenting and monitoring internal controls in support of auditing team.
- Review deliverables prepared by other finance colleagues.
- Ensure that global accounting policies and procedures, agreed internal processes are implemented and followed.
- Proceed as a subject-matter expert and/or key user for the ERP system.
- Lead complex accounting issues resolutions, provide advice to the business.
- Train and educate new and existing finance colleagues (incl. other functions).
- Perform according to Service Level Agreement (SLA).
- Ensure assigned tasks are performed efficiently and with professional manner.
- Coordinating more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other departments.
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to optimize service quality.
- Performs other duties as assigned by direct superiors and managers.
Qualifications:
- Relevant and/or similar work experience within accounting field (minimum 2 years).
- Bachelor of Sciences (or equivalent) in finance, mathematics, statistics (or related discipline) is an advantage.
- Solid end-to-end process understanding. Knowledge and practice in IFRS is an advantage.
- High-Proficient Excel skills and experience with SAP, HFM is a plus.
- Challenge existing processes and seek for continuous improvement.
- Proven team player, experience in knowledge transfer.
- Strong accountability.
- Customer service result oriented.
- Analytical mindset with solution-oriented problem-solving skills.
- Co-operation skills in a cross-cultural organization.
- Enthusiasm and commitment to delivering quality results to tight deadlines.
- Ability to understand complex environments.
- Very good English language skills, additional European languages are very beneficial.
