Air Supervisor

What will be your challenges?

• Supervise and coordinate a team of 7 operational staff.
• Oversee air freight processes: deconsolidation, tracking, arrival reports, and manifest creation. 
• Ensure compliance with GDP, ISO 9001, and OEA standards.
• Follow up on operational incidents: damaged, lost cargo, and claims.
• Prepare performance reports, KPIs, and results for management.
• Monitor freight rate compliance and monthly financial closing.
• Maintain communication with clients, vendors, and international agents.
• Train staff, delegate tasks, and monitor execution.
• Coordinate special services such as DDP, DDU, returns, and transshipments.
• Manage operational expenses and revenue.
• Handle billing, documentation, and system updates.

What you need to succeed (Qualifications, experience, skills, attributes)

• Business English required
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, International Trade, or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Air Freight Operations, handling import/export documentation, international regulations, INCOTERMS, and specialized cargo (hazardous, perishable). 
• Availability for rotating and night shifts, and 24/7 emergency support.
• Results-oriented, dynamic, responsible, and with strong leadership skills.
• Highly organized, autonomous, process-driven, and able to work under pressure

Overview:

The Air Freight Product Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and overseeing all air import and export operations in Guatemala, ensuring their proper execution in accordance with internal policies, local and international regulations, and quality standards. This role leads an operational team, supervises critical processes, ensures regulatory compliance, and drives continuous improvement in product handling—particularly in the healthcare sector.
