What fascinates you most about your work in IT&D in logistics?
Honestly, it's not about IT&D in logistics per se. I was aiming for cybersecurity and this company was mature and supportive in helping me start my career in this area. That was three years ago and what keeps me here are the people and the complexity of the logistics industry. I guess this is what feeds my appetite.

What is your professional background and what has your career journey been like?
Everything that happened before 2020 was necessary to get me into cybersecurity. To be where I am today, I had to start from scratch. After my workday, I would take online training and read every piece of cybersecurity-related material I could find to start a new career path. It was worth all the sleepless nights.

What was your biggest professional challenge and how did you overcome it?
My biggest challenge was convincing IT security managers that a 30-year-old gal shifting her career could benefit their organization. I was persistent in applying and attending recruitment meetings. I was looking for a mature organization and I've found it.

What aspect of your current job has surprised you the most or been the most unexpected?
The most unexpected have been the opportunities I have been offered. I joined the IT Security Services Toolbox Team in March 2020. In April 2022, I was offered a chance to lead the team and now I'm the product owner of the Vulnerability and Hardening Value Stream.

Why would you encourage women to take on a career in IT&D in logistics?
I encourage you ladies to get started and be persistent. Even if logistic doesn't sound very tempting for some of you, data, servers and vulnerabilities are intertwined. Most tasks are the same no matter the industry you work in. It is important to find a mature organization and grow together!
