We are looking for a proactive and detail-focused Trailer Planner to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our European road freight operations, ensuring goods move smoothly and efficiently across borders.
Location: Basildon, UK
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 17:30
What Will You Be Doing?
- Planning and coordinating trailer movements across Europe, ensuring on-time deliveries.
- Optimizing trailer loads to maximize space and cost-efficiency.
- Building strong relationships with hauliers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Managing and resolving any transport issues, including delays or route changes.
- Monitoring trailer movements and providing regular updates to customers.
- Ensuring compliance with transport regulations and documentation requirements.
- Working closely with customs and border teams to facilitate smooth cross-border transit.
About You
- Experience in transport planning, road freight, or a similar logistics environment.
- Strong knowledge of European geography and transport regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Great communication skills – confident liaising with drivers, suppliers, and customers.
- Highly organized with keen attention to detail.
- A team player with a flexible, can-do attitude.
- Familiarity with transport management systems (TMS) is a plus.
