In conversation with Sunesh Pandita

Sunesh Pandita is DB Schenker Global Value Ambassador 2021 from TSC India.

Sunesh please explain what do you do in TSC India and in which team do you work?

I lead the Database Administration Team (DBA), New Delhi. My job profile consists of SSIS Development, Database development, Database Administration and DBaaS.

Was it surprising for you that your colleagues nominated you for this title and that you have won?

Yes, I was surprised and on ‘Cloud 9’ moment for me. It feels good to understand that you have been nominated by the team. It gives you a feeling that you have brought meaning to your work role by not only contributing to job responsibilities but a positive impact on the culture of the organization.

Are values important for you? Do you have your set of rules you stick to in private and work life?

Values shape you as an individual and it matters both in personal and professional life…
I follow and practice the Schenker values of ‘Walk the Talk’ and ‘One Team with One Goal’. You must deliver of what you commit, with determination and perseverance of course. Common goals are important because they bring people together and encourage them to communicate problems and results, an important facet for project success.

Do any DB Schenker values have a special meaning to you?

One Team with One Goal is not only a value to be practiced in everyday work life but is a must trait to be successful in your respective career/life goals. Teamwork is what makes the impossible, possible in a meaningful and sustainable way.

What is your background? What did you do before you joined TSC?

I have completed my Master’s in Computer Applications from Indraprastha University. Soon after my post-graduation, I got the opportunity to be a part of DB Schenker in the year 2010. This is my first stint after my academics, continuing it, with Technology Solution Center- India till date.

What is your passion/ hobby?

I am passionate and like writing IT programs not only because I’m an IT professional, but I enjoy doing the same. Apart from this, I like watching comedy series in my leisure time.

In your nomination, we can read that you motivate everyone to improve skills in new technologies.
What do you do for your self-development, and why is it important to you?

Self-Development is very important especially in these times of fierce competition and emerging technologies era. I always advocate, try to provide the best of the opportunity to my team for enhancing their learning curve. Learn, explore … we are migrating database services to the cloud, the future is ‘cloud’ … experiment on ‘technology’ in a rightful way.

Feedback on initiative DB Schenker Global Value Ambassador Program

It is a great initiative. It’s a win-win for both an employee and the respective organization too. An employee gets an opportunity to be one of the culture torchbearers, the respective organization gets good visibility.
