Palvinder, what made you choose a career in IT / Technology?

I am a Master's into computer applications and have had a great inclination towards IT from the start of my career. I started with learning programming languages C+, and HTML, and thereafter even took up teaching programming languages with a renowned institute. I have over 10 years of work experience and believe that there are huge opportunities in the IT, and infrastructure departments.  All the learnings and experiences have helped me pursue and do what I love to do i.e., 'technology.'

Great to hear! what inspired you to join TSC India?

It is the role and responsibilities that made to be a part of the organization. I work with various service managers on a global level. To be very upfront, the work and the services, I am involved in are giving me an amazing experience. I am currently working on 3 global projects which includes services like LAN/WLAN, SAP Ariba and O365 and 1 is in planning phase. My day is occupied and productive. Planning with the first half of the day in completing the tasks effectively while the second half is a collaboration with global colleagues.

We learn you are working on quite new projects, so how is the organization helping you to be ahead in the game? 

My managers are very approachable and are mentors, hence it's always great learning while working on services with them. The colleagues from the team here in India and globally is indeed great help, and also support in complicated situations, which is sometimes new learning for me.
We have quarterly team workshops which are all about discussing, and brainstorming new ideas, and tech, and winding up on team bonding over dinner and meaningful chats. 

How do you find the culture here?

The leadership team is very approachable, plus the hybrid work mode helps me to keep a work-life balance. It's a great place to work with a lot of opportunities for tech enthusiasts.

Thanks for sharing your career journey, when off from work mode, what keeps you involved in leisure time? 

I like to discover new places and new cuisines. Recently I have been to the Germany Head office, and it was great connecting with colleagues, knowing the place and tasting the exquisite cuisine of the place.

One piece of advice you would like to share with young girls who are aspiring to get into tech.

The future is technology and innovation. Keep learning and grow technical skill even if you are from non-tech / tech background.
