Specific accountabilities:

  • Generate outgoing invoices
  • Distribute invoices to customers and Schenker network partners
  • Handle related internal communication with DB Schenker stakeholders
  • Ensure on-time invoicing within corporate guidelines
  • Cross-check all cost accruals in and ensure all applicable charges are invoiced
  • Create invoicing package / pouch and dispatch to Customers
  • Ensure that all accrued costs have corresponding revenues
  • Ensure each file Profit + Loss statement shows a profit and escalate "Loss" file information
  • Escalate invoicing discrepancies to Head of Product Act in a manner which increases Customer satisfaction and loyalty, maximizes shipment profitability, and decreases operating expenses COD collections, billing according to type of delivery and following through on collections
  • Liaise with the respective team members and/or Administration personnel if biling information is absent or appears incorrect, 
  • Provide immediate communication to the Head of Product (verbal andor email) of any problems arising.
  • Fielding calls and enquires from Carriers, customers and agents Monitor and help resolve client queries with invoices Monitor and help operations in relation to cash collections and Fair and exhibition transactions
  • Comply with all Occupational Health & Safety policies and procedures in the workplace.
  • Perform other duties as required by Head of Product

Skills Required:

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Fluency in written and spoken English language
  • Perform well under pressure
  • Strong computer (Windows PC) skills
  • Typing skills (at least 30 words per minute)
  • Decision-making and problem-solving skills

  • Organization skills
  • Must work well within a team


Experience and Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of relevant legislations and authorities which impact your area of responsibility
  • Tertiary accounting certificate preferred
  • Good knowledge of SAP, preferred
