Key aspects of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing quotes as requested (standard air/sea, out of gauge, domestic road/air, tenders & projects)
- Assisting in co-ordination start-up of shipment
- Performing day to day operations of project shipments
- Coordinating and assist with on site handling, assist Project Supervisor with marketing and sales activities and tender/quotations
- Working with the Project Supervisor/Manager and interstate Project Managers to develop strategies and activities to support existing client relationships
- Assisting the Project Supervisor/Manager in the development and implementation of future project strategies
- Liaising with clients in individual cases and promptly attend to their requests
- In conjunction with the Project Supervisor/Manager ensuring that monthly estimates of profit and loss, and revenue reports are submitted on time
- Ensuring timely and correct invoicing of final charges to our customers
- Ensuring set up systems for follow up / order tracking are being updated and constantly improved
THE CANDIDATE
Ideally the successful applicant will have:
- Previous experience in Cross Trade and/or Projects
- General knowledge in imports and exports procedures and customs requirements
- Strong Customer Service skills and high service orientation
- Good communication skills, including ability to interpret instructions, construct effective memo’s and contribute to team discussion
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportion, percentages, area, circumference
- General numerical skills including ability to calculate rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
- Ability to deal with involving several concrete variables in standardised situations
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
